NJ, NY, PA 04/01/2008: When our office was taken over by VCA a few years ago, they promised the world and delivered nothing! They claim to give you a raise every year, but then are 2-6 months late with every increase. They force you to wear these ugly uniforms and write you up when you don’t and won’t let you make any decisions for yourself. Everything is totally micro-managed! Benefits suck – 3 holidays and 3 sick days! COME ON – who has that small of an allowance anymore? Job security is great cuz who the heck would take the job once they fire you? there is no work/life balance – work all the hours we need you to or be written up! What a great choice! Location and co-workers are ok because we’re all suffering equally. Work environment sucks too cuz they won’t pay for anything to be done right, just done quick and cheap. And what’s the deal with over charging? Our stuff is marked up like 500% Customers aren’t stupid, if they only knew what the Doctors were being paid, they’d freak out! Docs are miserable cuz they are micro-managed and nurses are miserable cuz they get stuck doing all the Docs work! And every couple months some fancy regional person stops in to remind you what a sucky job your doing. But just try getting them or the “support” office to help you with anything, they are never there! Company discount is ok, better then others I’ve heard of. But they force you to buy only the cheap stuff.
